The Challenge

The Challenge

With the backdrop of the NHS Mental Health Implementation Plan, many services are struggling to meet their access targets. Furthermore, equity in access is a major issue in mental health globally3 and in the UK4,5, as we see marginalised populations continue to be disadvantaged. In theory, digital solutions can help raise the floor for all communities, and remove accessibility barriers for those who are typically under-represented. The Solution

The Solution

We investigated the impact of our AI-enabled mental health e-triage tool, Limbic Access, on accessibility in services deploying the tool in a large-scale analysis of ~130,000 patients. We looked at pre- vs. post-implementation impacts and comparisons with national NHS Talking Therapy statistics to quantify how Limbic Access can support service’s looking to improve accessibility for their communities.

“This service has helped me to understand how I'm feeling and organise my thoughts more.
It's also helpful to have a time frame of when someone will be in touch and have my feelings
of low mood and anxiety validated. Thank you.”
